The official website of the Prince George’s Arts Council (PGAC)  is devoted to providing  information about the arts in Prince George’s County.   PGAC promotes artistic excellence and expands arts opportunities to residents and visitors through advocacy, partnerships, education and financial support.  We invite you to take advantage of the wealth of cultural offerings in the County.  Become a “multicultural game changer” by seeing a show, making a financial contribution, or advocating for increased support of the arts.   You can make a difference!

NEXT PRINCE GEORGE’S ARTS NETWORK (PG-CAN) MEETING to focus on arts education, Tuesday, September 28, 2010, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m., at the Harmony Hall Regional Center, located at 10701 Livingston Road, Ft. Washington, MD  20744.  See enclosed PG-CAN Agenda (September 28, 2010) for more details regarding the meeting.  Special presentation by John Ceschini, Arts Education in Maryland Schools (AEMS) Alliance.  All are welcome.

PRINCE GEORGE’S ARTS COUNCIL SELECTED FOR FIRST-EVER LOCAL ARTS INDEX RESEARCH STUDY as one of 100 communities to participate.   These local arts agencies will be part of an 18-month research initiative that serves as a complement to the National Arts Index. The findings from the Local Arts Index will be reported in Fall 2011.
